Dear Dance Creations Parents and Students,
The staff at Dance Creations is now gearing up for Creations in Dance 2008. The theme for this year’s recital is "Re-vibe".
Mark your calendars now for the following dates:
"Re-vibe" - for all students Levels 1-6
Monday, June 23, 2008 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 24, 2008 7:00 p.m.
Your child’s class will be assigned a performance time (not yet determined)

"Re-vibe"
at the Oxnard Civic Auditorium will be separated into 2 different performances. The Oxnard Civic Auditorium is a large theatre which seats 1604 people, 850 in the lower orchestra and 754 seats in the upper loge section.
We realize that the Oxnard Civic Auditorium is further than the Thousand Oaks Kavli Theatre which we have used for the past few years, but due to the rising costs of renting the Thousand Oaks facility we have found it necessary to consider other options. In researching other choices, we feel that Oxnard Civic Auditorium has the best to offer the needs of our studio. The theatre is a state of the art facility, with a stage that is 5000 square feet in size, with all dressing rooms conveniently located at that same level as the stage, a nice feature that we have not had in the past. With the change in venue we have now also acquired a date that is not the last day of the school year, which has presented problems in the past. However, we understand that having the recital dates on a Monday and Tuesday night during the week has its downfalls as well, but we hope that letting you know this far in advance will allow you to plan accordingly.
Ticket prices:
$15.00 General Admission Price for Adults/Seniors/Children
Recital Fee: $50.00 which includes two general admission tickets and helps cover the cost of the Oxnard Civic Auditorium, it’s services and all rehearsals. Tickets will be allocated and additional tickets will be sold in May 2008.
Costume Fees:
All costume fees are due with February tuition. Costume fees are as follows:
- $45.00 - All Creative Dance, Comb 1 and Comb 2 classes
- $55.00 - All Beginning Level, Open Level, Levels 1-3 Classes, All Hip Hop
- $60.00 - All Levels 4-6 classes
As a general rule each student will require a costume for each class. In some instances where a class is a combination class (i.e. ballet/ tap and jazz/ tap), 2 costumes may be required. We will inform you ahead of time if your child’s class falls in this category. Cost of the costumes does not include shoes and tights. You will be informed of the required tights and shoes at a later date. We will be measuring students during their class time sometime this month.
Recital Ticket and Costume Policy:
Please be aware that all studio accounts (tuitions, recital fees, costume fees, etc) must be paid in full before tickets and costumes will be handed out to students.
Photos:
All classes will have their individual and group photographs taken on Saturday, May 31st at the Erringer Studio. ALL PERFORMERS MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE GROUP PHOTOS AT THE ANNOUNCED TIME. Individual photos are optional.
The Basic Photo package includes 1 5x7 group and 1 3x5 Individual for $25.00. Pre-paid orders received by May 1st will receive 4 individual wallets FREE. Additional packages are also available at $20.00 each.
